Manly took the two points on offer with Reuben Garrick kicking the game-winning goal to complete a massive upset win.
Grant has form in this department. Saturday night’s incident was the third time he has been penalised for such an infraction.
In fact, Grant was served with a warning from the NRL because of an incident the week prior in a game against Newcastle.
According to Code Sports, Grant received a concerning act notice after running into the leg of Knights half Jack Cogger.
It wasn’t penalised, nor was Grant charged, but it didn’t escape the NRL’s notice.
Players generally receive concerning act notices for incidents that aren’t serious enough to warrant a charge from the match review committee.
Grant has been sin binned for such an act in the past. Against Cronulla last year, Grant was sent for ten minutes after making contact with the leg of Daniel Atkinson.
