Brian To’o has also been named despite an ongoing knee issue, while Liam Martin’s name is listed among the extended reserves as he eyes a return from a wrist injury. But Cooper Cronk believes the Panthers should consider resting their Origin stars at some stage. “I think they should rest them. I think they should rest a big chunk of them,” Cronk said on Matty and Cronk. “They’ve done it previously where they’ve rested the majority of their team but I think the Origin players need another week off. “I’ve been in their shoes where you aren’t playing great at club land, then Origin takes out a lot of energy and then you realise you’ve worked really hard and then you go again.” Paul Alamoti drops out of the backline with Izack Tago having served his one-game ban, while Brad Schneider shifts to the pine in place of Jack Cole.

Izaac Thompson makes his club debut, having previously featured in first grade for the Rabbitohs. Charlie Staines has been dropped while Api Koroisau returns to the starting side, having played off the pine last week.
