Farnworth had already scored one try with the scores locked at 6-6 in the 18th minute against the Warriors when the Dolphins centre made a break form deep inside his own half and raced down the field.
However, with only fullback Taine Tuaupiki to beat and support on his outside, Farnworth pulled up lame before hobbling and falling to the Go Media Stadium turf clutching at his hamstring.
“Farnworth has done an injury a hamstring can you believe that?” Warren Smith said on Fox League.
“This is potentially devastating for not just this game but the Dolphins’ season. He’s gone.
“The old sniper got him in fresh air. He ran past Healey like he wasn’t there and there was only Tuaupiki to beat. It was two on one.

Michael Ennis believes Farnworth would be a massive loss if he is ruled out for the rest of the season.
“That is devastating for the Dolphins,” Ennis said.
“That is exactly what Farnworth has done all season for the Dolphins. Nothing on, the set going nowhere and then just a bit of brilliance and class and incredible athleticism and Farnworth this close to the finals this is a huge blow for them.”
