The Broncos and Michael Maguire has been handed a hammer blow with both Adam Reynolds and Ezra Mam leaving the field injured in the first half against the Storm.
Reynolds was the first to depart, with the 35-year-old limping over the sideline with a hamstring injury after a longwinded play that ended with a Xavier Coates break.
The veteran playmaker was chasing the Storm winger and stopped in his tracks in a moment that showed he was “clearly gone” according to commentator Andrew Voss.

Reynolds was later spotted taking off his boots, with his night coming to an end after only 20 minutes.
“There’s a lot happening here, boy oh boy,” Voss said.
But if losing their star No.7 wasn’t enough, Mam followed him and struggled to walk down the tunnel with a hamstring blow of his own.
The Brisbane five-eighth’s injury will reportedly be assessed before a decision is made whether he can return to the field, while he also had his knee heavily strapped.
Luckily for Maguire, Ben Hunt and Billy Walters are both capable of slotting into the halves, but both injuries put a dagger in the Broncos’ premiership chances.

“21 minutes gone, absolute sensation here and not of a good kind for Brisbane,” Voss said.
Meanwhile, league legend added: “We went from a huge chance of Brisbane scoring a try to Xavier Coates just plucking the ball out of the air and running 100 metres.
Voss then delivered a sentence no Broncos fan wanted to hear.
“If they score Reynolds doesn’t do his hamstring, chance Mam doesn’t suffer his problem,” he said.
“I think Michael Maguire has just checked if Trent Barrett brought his boots with him.”
