THURSDAY JUNE 5

Newcastle Knights vs Manly Sea Eagles at McDonald Jones Stadium, 7.50pm AEST

Last week’s Knights team: 6. Fletcher Sharpe 2. James Schiller 3. Dane Gagai 4. Kyle McCarthy 5. Fletcher Hunt 18. Jack Cogger 7. Tyson Gamble 8. Tyson Frizell 9. Phoenix Crossland 10. Leo Thompson 11. Dylan Lucas 12. Kai Pearce-Paul 13. Mathew Croker 14. Jayden Brailey 15. Jack Hetherington 16. Brodie Jones 17. Thomas Cant 19. Jermaine McEwen

Team Tips: A huge blow for the Knights with key enforcer Leo Thompson set for an extended stint on the sidelines for a crusher tackle on Hamish Stewart. If he accepts the charge he will spend four weeks on the sidelines, joining Adam Elliott who suffered a biceps injury a week earlier against the Panthers. Jermaine McEwen will likely slot onto the bench, with Brodie Jones or Jack Hetherington starting in the front row. Meanwhile, Greg Marzhew is expected to return on the wing which will likely see Fletcher Hunt lose his spot, while Kalyn Ponga is back after Origin duties and will shift back to five-eighth, with Jack Cogger the likely man to drop out of the side.

Last week’s Sea Eagles team: 1. Lehi Hopoate 5. Tommy Talau 3. Tolutau Koula 4. Reuben Garrick 18. Clayton Faulalo 6. Luke Brooks 7. Daly Cherry-Evans 8. Ethan Bullemor 14. Lachlan Croker 10. Josh Aloiai 11. Haumole Olakau’atu 12. Ben Trbojevic 13. Jazz Tevaga 9. Jake Simpkin 15. Corey Waddell 16. Nathan Brown 17. Matthew Lodge 18th Man: 19. Jake Arthur

Team Tips: Josh Aloiai has suffered a fresh shoulder injury and is set for a stint on the sidelines after returning from a five-game injury hiatus. In a boost, Jake Trbojevic and Siua Taukeiaho are both expected to return, with Matthew Lodge or Corey Waddell the likely candidates to drop off the pine. Tom Trbojevic, meanwhile, is expected to spend one more week on the sidelines.

FRIDAY JUNE 6

Melbourne Storm vs North Queensland Cowboys at AAMI Park, 6.00pm AEST

Last week’s Storm team: 1. Ryan Papenhuyzen 2. Sualauvi Faalogo 19. Jack Howarth 4. Nick Meaney 3. Grant Anderson 6. Cameron Munster 7. Jahrome Hughes 8. Stefano Utoikamanu 17. Bronson Garlick 10. Josh King 11. Shawn Blore 12. Eliesa Katoa 15. Nelson Asofa-Solomona 13. Trent Loiero 14. Tyran Wishart 16. Tui Kamikamica 18. Joe Chan 24. Ativalu Lisati

Team Tips: Jack Howarth returned for the Storm in Round 13 and will retain his spot in the backline despite Xavier Coates, who didn’t back up from Origin, returning to the side. Coates will likely displace Sualauvi Faalogo on the wing. Alongside Coates, Harry Grant also sat out but will slot back into the No.9 jersey which could see Joe Chan lose his spot on the bench to Bronson Garlick.

Last week’s Cowboys team: 1. Scott Drinkwater 2. Robert Derby 3. Zac Laybutt 4. Viliami Vailea 5. Jaxson Paulo 6. Jaxon Purdue 7. Tom Dearden 8. Jordan McLean 9. Reece Robson 10. Sam McIntyre 11. John Bateman 12. Jeremiah Nanai 13. Reuben Cotter 14. Harrison Edwards 15. Kai O’Donnell 16. Griffin Neame 17. Coen Hess. 18th man: 18. Jake Clifford

Team Tips: All of the Cowboys Origin stars backed up and got through their win over the Tigers, except for Reece Robson who left the field as a precaution and could still play in Round 14. Murray Taulagi is set to return from a calf injury and will likely be a straight swap for Jaxson Paulo on the wing. Jason Taumalolo, meanwhile, is a slim chance of returning from a calf injury of his own while Sam McIntyre also came out of Round 13 with a calf complaint and is unlikely to feature with a short turnaround.

“One of the WORST” – Cheese on Origin I | 01:38

Dolphins vs St George Illawarra Dragons at Suncorp Stadium, 8.00pm AEST

Round 12 Dolphins team: 1. Jake Averillo 2. Jamayne Isaako 3. Max Feagai 4. Herbie Farnworth 5. Jack Bostock 6. Kodi Nikorima 7. Isaiah Katoa 8. Francis Molo 9. Kurt Donoghue 10. Felise Kaufusi 11. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki 17. Oryn Keeley 13. Ray Stone 12. Connelly Lemuelu 14. Harrison Graham 15. Mark Nicholls 16. Josh Kerr

Team Tips: Both Jeremy Marshall-King and Daniel Saifiti are expected to return in a big boost for the Dolphins. Kurt Donoghue is expected to revert to the bench, while Francis Molo could also join him on the pine in place of Saifiti with Harrison Graham and Josh Kerr the likely pair to shift to the extended squad. In positive news, Trai Fuller returned from an ACL injury via Queensland Cup but was unable to inspire the Capras to a win.

Last week’s Dragons team: 1. Clinton Gutherson 2. Tyrell Sloan 3. Moses Suli 4. Valentine Holmes 21. Nathan Lawson 6. Lyhkan King-Togia 7. Kyle Flanagan 10. David Klemmer 9. Damien Cook 17. Blake Lawrie 12. Jaydn Su’A 15. Toby Couchman 13. Hamish Stewart 8. Jack de Belin 11. Luciano Leilua 14. Jacob Liddle 16. Loko Pasifiki Tonga 22. Hame Sele

Team Tips: The ‘Money Man’ Christian Tuipulotu is set to return from a hamstring injury in Round 14, with Nathan Lawson the likely man to make way on the wing. Jaydn Su’A also suffered an ankle injury and left the field against the Knights. Shane Flanagan was hopeful his gun back rower would only miss one or two weeks with a low-grade syndesmosis injury. Luciano Leilua is the obvious man to take his place in the back row.

SATURDAY JUNE 7

Cronulla Sharks vs New Zealand Warriors at Sharks Stadium, 5.30pm AEST

Round 12 Sharks team: 1. William Kennedy 2. Mawene Hiroti 3. Jesse Ramien 4. KL Iro 5. Ronaldo Mulitalo 6. Braydon Trindall 7. Nicho Hynes 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Oregon Kaufusi 11. Briton Nikora 12. Billy Burns 13. Cameron McInnes 14. Daniel Atkinson 15. Jesse Colquhoun 16. Siosifa Talakai 17. Braden Hamlin-Uele. 18th man: 19. Tuku Hau Tapuha

Team Tips: The Sharks could be set to welcome back two forwards with both Toby Rudolf and Teig Wilton due to return from respective ankle and shoulder injuries. Billy Burns could lose his spot in the team should Wilton slot back in, while Braden Hamlin-Uele or Jesse Colquhoun could make way for Rudolf unless Craig Fitzgibbon wants to run a four forward bench. In that case, Daniel Atkinson drops out of the side.

Last week’s Warriors team: 1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 3. Adam Pompey 4. Rocco Berry 5. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 6. Chanel Harris-Tavita 7. Luke Metcalf 8. James Fisher-Harris 9. Wayde Egan 10. Mitchell Barnett 11. Kurt Capewell 12. Marata Niukore 13. Erin Clark 14. Te Maire Martin 15. Leka Halasima 16. Demitric Vaimauga 17. Jackson Ford 18. Jacob Laban

Team Tips: In a horrow blow, Mitch Barnett is expected to be sidelined with an ACL injury after going down against the Rabbitohs in Round 13. Jackson Ford will likely slot into his front row spot, with Jacob Laban being promoted onto the pine from 18th man.

Bulldog Galvin “excited” for fresh start | 00:50

Brisbane Broncos vs Gold Coast Titans at Suncorp Stadium, 7.35pm AEST

Last week’s Broncos team: 1. Jesse Arthars 2. Selwyn Cobbo 3. Kotoni Staggs 4. Gehamat Shibasaki 5. Deine Mariner 6. Ezra Mam 7. Adam Reynolds 8. Patrick Carrigan 9. Cory Paix 10. Payne Haas 11. Xavier Willison 12. Jordan Riki 13. Kobe Hetherington 14. Billy Walters 15. Corey Jensen 16. Brendan Piakura 17. Benjamin Te Kura 18th Man: 18. Tyson Smoothy

Team Tips: In a huge boost, Reece Walsh is expected to return after he was a chance of slotting back in against the Sea Eagles. Jesse Arthars will revert to the wing, with Deine Mariner dropping out of the side. Back rower Jack Gosiewski is also due to return from a fractured arm, but it remains to be seen if he will take back his starting edge spot over Xavier Willison. Ben Hunt is expected to return in Round 15.

Last week’s Titans team: 7. Jayden Campbell 2. Alofiana Khan-Pereira 3. Brian Kelly 4. Jojo Fifita 5. Phillip Sami 14. Kieran Foran 21. Tom Weaver 15. Jaimin Jolliffe 9. Sam Verrills 10. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 11. Chris Randall 12. Beau Fermor 13. Tino Fa’asuamaleaui 8. Moeaki Fotuaika 16. Klese Haas 17. Jacob Alick-Wiencke 19. Iszac Fa’asumaleaui 18. Arama Hau

Team Tips: Should Des Hasler select him in first grade, David Fifita is due to return after having a clean out surgery on his ankle. Considering the Titans struggles, Fifita could be the perfect man to spark the Gold Coast side and could replace Chris Randall in the back row, with Iszac Fa’asumaleaui dropping off the pine. It remains to be seen if AJ Brimson will be free to play after sitting out due to a head knock in a late omission, while Jaylan De Groot was another player who dropped out of the side with a hamstring injury and is unlikely to be fit. Keano Kini meanwhile said to Fox League on Saturday that he was “about eight weeks” away from returning to the field.

SUNDAY JUNE 8

Canberra Raiders vs South Sydney Rabbitohs at GIO Stadium, 2.00pm AEST

Last week’s Raiders team: 1. Kaeo Weekes 2. Savelio Tamale 3. Matthew Timoko 4. Sebastian Kris 5. Xavier Savage 6. Ethan Strange 22. Ethan Sanders 8. Corey Horsburgh 14. Danny Levi 10. Joseph Tapine 11. Hudson Young 12. Zac Hosking 13. Morgan Smithies 9. Owen Pattie 15. Simi Sasagi 16. Josh Papali’i 17. Ata Mariota 18th Man: 18. Noah Martin

Team Tips: While Owen Pattie was excellent in a win over the Roosters, Tom Starling will return from suspension and take back his No.9 jersey. Speaking post-match Ricky Stuart revealed he won’t rush Jamal Fogarty back into the side after he sat out due to a groin injury. “If he’s right to play then he’ll be playing but I’m not going to risk him. We’re going into a bye after our next game and we really need it,” he said. Ethan Sanders will likely remain at halfback for one more week before Canberra’s bye a week later.

Last week’s Rabbitohs team: 1. Latrell Mitchell 2. Alex Johnston 3. Isaiah Tass 4. Campbell Graham 5. Bayleigh Bentley-Hape 6. Jayden Sullivan 7. Jamie Humphreys 8. Jai Arrow 9. Siliva Havili 10. Keaon Koloamatangi 11. Euan Aitken 12. Tallis Duncan 13. Lachlan Hubner 14. Jye Gray 15. Sean Keppie 16. Davvy Moale 17. Tevita Tatola 18. Liam Le Blanc

Team Tips: Jamie Humphreys suffered a cork but should be free to play in Round 14, while Bayleigh Bentley-Hape is set for a stint on the sidelines due to a groin injury. In a timely boost, Tyrone Munro (collarbone), Jack Wighton (calf) and Cody Walker (calf) are due to return. Jayden Sullivan could revert to the bench with Walker slotting into the No.6, while Wighton could shuffle Isaiah Tass to the wing. It remains to be seen if Munro will force his way into the backline.

Jeral Skelton and Latu Fainu are both due to return in Round 14, with Charlie Staines and Heath Mason the likely pair to lose their spots in the side.

Last week’s Panthers team: 1. Dylan Edwards 2. Thomas Jenkins 3. Izack Tago 4. Casey McLean 5. Brian To’o 6. Blaize Talagi 7. Nathan Cleary 8. Moses Leota 9. Mitch Kenny 10. Lindsay Smith 11. Team Tips: Luke Garner could return from a head knock in Round 14, likely replacing Casey McLean at centre despite the young gun putting in a strong performance. Isaiah Papali’i is also scheduled to return from a knee injury and could join the bench, replacing Daine Laurie after he was a late inclusion in place of Harrison Hassett.

MONDAY JUNE 9

Round 12 Bulldogs team: 1. Connor Tracey 2. Blake Wilson 3. Bronson Xerri 4. Blake Taaffe 5. Marcelo Montoya 6. Matt Burton 7. Toby Sexton 16. Sam Hughes 9. Reed Mahoney 10. Josh Curran 11. Viliame Kikau 12. Harry Hayes 13. Bailey Hayward 8. Lipoi Hopoi 14. Jake Turpin 15. Kurtis Morrin 17. Luke Smith

Team Tips: Bulldogs duo Jacob Preston and Sitili Tupouniua remain a further week away from returning from suspension. However, Cameron Ciraldo is expected to have Daniel Suluka-Fifita available after he sat out due to concussion. He could slot into the front row, with Sam Hughes reverting to the bench and Luke Smith making way. Jacob Kiraz is expected to slot back in Round 16.

Last week’s Eels team: 1. Isaiah Iongi 2. Zac Lomax 3. Sean Russell 4. Jordan Samrani 5. Josh Addo-Carr 6. Dylan Brown 7. Mitchell Moses 8. Jack Williams 9. Ryley Smith 10. Junior Paulo 15. He got through around 70 minutes and it remains to be seen if he will be fit to take the field.
